*GRAPHIC VIDEO WARNING*: Sheriff’s deputy reassigned following video of vicious child beating

A toddler girl’s refusal to change her shirt was met with her father’s profanity-filled verbal abuse that continued as he hoisted her off the ground by one arm and relentlessly beat her with a belt.

The girl’s father, Nassau County, Florida, Sheriff’s Deputy Troy Gill, was recently reassigned from patrol to jail administrative duties after the abuse was exposed via a since-removed YouTube video filmed by the girl’s brother, according to The Florida Times-Union.

“This is what I have to deal with every day, guys,” the boy said at the beginning of the video that was posted in July (but was only recently seen by authorities, according to The Times). “Finally, she’s getting her butt beat. I was getting whoopings like that at the age of 2.”

Parts of the reportedly 10-minute video reviewed by CrimeOnline show a man identified as Gill yelling obscenities as he walks through a disheveled house, belt in hand.

“Go get your mother(*******) shirt now,” Gill said in a snippet of the video aired by CBS-47, Jacksonville. “Imma whoop that mother(*******) ass some more — and I promise you, I’m going to make it hurt.”

The sounds of leather striking flesh and a young child’s screams echo through the house.

The Department of Children and Families spokesman John Harrell told The Times that the agency is investigating the case. He declined to release additional details to the newspaper, citing state confidentiality laws.

According to posts on the Nassau County Sheriff’s Department website, Gill was honored three times between 2013 and 2014 as “Detention Deputy/Bailiff of the Quarter.”
