Police: Man robs woman in park, tries to force her into oral sex

Police are looking for a man who robbed a woman in Central Park on Thursday afternoon, and instead of letting her go, he forced himself on her, in an attempt to get her to perform oral sex.

New York Daily News reports that the incident occurred at about 3:40 p.m on West Drive near W. 104th Street, as the 26-year-old victim was walking through the park. The suspect, said to be in his 20s, grabbed the victim, placed her in a headlock, pulled her to the ground, and demanded her money.

“I am sorry — I only want your money.”

Yet, after rifling through the victim’s purse, he looked her up and down, and changed his mind. He demanded oral sex, using profanities to get his point across. The woman screamed loudly, luckily catching the attention of two other people walking by. The suspect ran off with her cellphone. As of Friday, he’s still on the loose.

The victim said she was wearing earbuds and listening to music when the man took her by surprise. She suffered a few scrapes and abrasions, but didn’t require medical assistance.

So far the description of the suspect is unclear, but police advise everyone who wears earbuds to always be aware of their surroundings, especially if walking alone.

The story is still developing. Anyone with information should contact NYPD at 212-570-4820.
