A man known to be part of a notorious pedophile ring was sentenced to 12 years in prison this week, after confessing to raping an 11-year-old girl in front of her father.
But the father was no innocent bystander: He was the head of an Australian pedophile ring called the ‘Evil 8,’ and he’s already behind bars.
Ryan Trevor Clegg will join him: The 43-year-old North Fremantle man was sentenced to prison on Tuesday after pleading guilty to 15 charges related to the exploitation of the pedophile ring victim, including four charges of sexually penetrating a child under the age of 13.

The victim, who has not been identified, was 11 and 12 years old at the time of the incidents. Clegg admitted to having sexual intercourse with her on four different occasions, after soliciting an advertisement on Craigslist placed by the girl’s father — who also has not been named, to protect the identity of the victim. According to Perth Now, Clegg also pled guilty to taking and distributing photographs of the girl.
Clegg had been been briefly released on bail since confessing to the crimes in August, but was taken back into custody after it was discovered he was living within 60 meters of a childcare center, a violation of the terms of his provisional release.
Clegg must serve 10 years and nine months of his sentence before his case can be reviewed by a parole board.
