Original Story

The Town of Cary Police Department is seeking the public’s help in finding a 10-year-old boy who went missing Monday afternoon.

Khristian Joseph was last seen leaving Pleasant Grove Elementary School in Burlington, North Carolina—about 50 miles from Raleigh—at approximately 3:45 pm. WNCN reported his mother arrived at the school to pick him up and discovered he wasn’t there.

According to WRAL, Joseph is black male with dark brown eyes and black hair. He is 90 pounds and 4 feet, 9 inches tall. The 10-year-old was wearing dark blue jeans, an olive green jacket, and black sneakers with neon green laces at the time of his disappearance.

Authorities said a boy believed to be Joseph was captured on video heading to woods that back up to Page Road and I-540 and I-40. Police were focusing on areas around the school and the woods behind it.

A ground search has ended for the night and will resume tomorrow morning, according to WTVD.

Anyone with information about Khristian Joseph is asked to call the Cary Police Department at (919) 469-4012.
