A man supposedly stabbed a woman to death in her New York City apartment early Sunday.
Alexander Felix, 34, is accused of attacking his girlfriend Eloise Liz, 48, (pictured left) during an argument about her son, according to The New York Post. Neighbors called 911 but Liz, who sustained stab wounds to the chest, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said the victim was stabbed as many as ten times, according to WNBC.
Sources told the New York Daily News that Felix was apprehended minutes after the murder, seeking treatment at Harlem Hospital. Authorities reportedly used a blood trail leading from the apartment to track him down.

Prosecutors suspected Felix broke into the mother of three’s fourth-floor apartment using a crowbar. He also allegedly used tape to cover holes he made in the walls.
The 34-year-old is charged with second-degree murder and burglary. Felix was ordered held without bail Sunday night and is expected to return to a Manhattan criminal court on Friday.
A double murder took place at the exact same building two months ago. Isaac Infante, 23, confessed to strangling his ex-girlfriend, Felicia Barahona, 36, and their four-year-old son, Miguel (pictured right).

According to PIX11, police discovered Barahona in the living room with an electrical cord wrapped around her neck while Miguel was found submerged in the bathtub. A medical examiner determined Barahona died from ligature strangulation and Miguel succumbed to asphyxia due to neck compression.
Barahona was allegedly fired as a teacher at Clinton DeWitt High School after she began a relationship with an 18-year-old Infante, who was a student at the time.
Infante was charged with two counts each of first-degree murder and second-degree murder for the December 22 slaying.
