Sicko stabs Walmart greeter with special needs

“I try to respect every single person in the whole world,” the victim said

A beloved greeter at a Texas Walmart was the victim of a senseless stabbing on Monday.

According to Fox News, Marcus Polk is recovering from a stab wound to the back after a customer attacked him out of nowhere while he was at his post in Corsicana, Texas. The 43-year-old longtime employee, who reportedly has special needs, discussed the ordeal — and the community’s reaction — to the unprovoked assault.

“He came up right behind me and he stabbed me multiple times,” Polk told NBC5. “You’re never prepared for that. I did not expect that to occur at all.”

The NBC5 report said the suspect, who has not been named, just walked in, stabbed Polk, and walked out.

“I have no idea who he is. I have never made any kind of connection with him in my entire life,” Polk told Fox News. “I try to respect every single person in the whole world.”

Polk is a popular friendly face in the community, known for warmly greeting Walmart customers, sometimes with a hug. He’s seen an enormous outpouring of support since the stabbing.

“I had no idea I touched people in such a great way,” he told NBC5. “My time of need, they would be on my side.”
