Police have found the mother of a toddler who was left on the side of a road on Thursday in Covington, Georgia.
The Newton County Sheriff’s Office told 11 Alive that a little boy was found in his car seat on the side of Hwy 11 at about 5:30 p.m. on Thursday evening. Police have not said if there was a note or anything found with the toddler to indicate why he was left alone.
The boy was taken to a nearby hospital where he was evaluated for injuries, but doctors did not find any.
On Friday morning, police told Fox 5 that they had found the toddler’s mother and were continuing to search for the father. There is still no explanation why the boy was left on the side of the road.
