Bouchard became bloody, as seen in the video, after being stomped in the face. Blood eventually covered her face and even her maternity blouse. She has noted that her baby will be alright, however.
“You can see on the video a girl in a blue dress runs up and kicks me in the head with her heel and that’s what caused all the bleeding,” Bouchard told NY Daily News. “In the back of my head there’s a scar.”
She also apologized for her role in instigating the brawl, stating “I didn’t mean to ruin anyone’s graduation.”
School officials strongly condemned the incident in a statement obtained by PIX11. They also said they would be pressing charges.
“We are disappointed by the actions of those who instigated the incident on what was a joyous occasion for our students and their families. District officials have met with law enforcement and we are pressing charges,” the statement read. “As a school and community, we won’t let the small number of spectators involved in inappropriate behavior overshadow the accomplishments of so many wonderful students and their families celebrating graduation day.”
Police have not made any arrests and 21-year-old Bouchard has not stated what caused the fight in the first place.
