Three people, including a teen, are in custody after an Alabama mother was found dead, reports AL.com.
Tuscaloosa County Metro Homicide Unit Commander Gary Hood announced that Rashad Lewis, 23, Kendrick Ky’Andre Marshall, 16, and Vida Milagros Confetti, 20, were each charged with the murder of Jennifer Nevin, 23.

A worker checking a gas well found Nevin’s body about 25 yards down a dirt road around noon Monday.
Nevin’s brother, Will Nevin, said she suffered from mental illness as well as substance abuse. She began the substance abuse in her adolescence as a way to self-medicate the emotional issues she began to develop.
“On her good days, she was beautiful and creative. She had a thousand questions about everything. She was smart. But she had her not good days, and this weekend was a string of them.”
Nevin had her own home near Shelton State Community College and ran her own residential cleaning business. She was a mother to a 5-year-old boy.
Will said his mother usually kept the 5-year-old for Jennifer. She was last seen Friday when her mother came to pick the boy up. Will said the family tried to get her help but were unable to.
“We had hoped that her story would have a better end, but we know she had her problems. We tried and tried to get the help she needed, but we didn’t get it in time.”
All three suspects are undergoing the booking process at the Tuscaloosa County Jail. Bond for Lewis and Marshall is set at $150,000 and Confetti is held on $100,000 bond.
Police have yet to release a motive or a method for the murder, but Will Nevin said it had something to do with substance abuse.
“This sort of death, this is directly tied to substance abuse. She wasn’t a bad person, and she didn’t deserve this. This wasn’t some kind of random event. There was a reason for this.”
