Naked and Unafraid: Intruder strips off clothes, hops in shower with young woman, then goes to the kitchen and washes dishes

A home intruder made himself very much at home at a New Jersey residence this week, where he broke in while two young women and a baby were present.

The New York Post reports that James King of Jamaica, Queens, was arrested on burglary and lewdness charges after he allegedly broke into a home in Hackensack, New Jersey, on Wednesday.

The suspect reportedly came into the home through an unlocked door while a 21-year-old woman, her 16-year-old sister, and the older sister’s infant were at home.

The 21-year-old woman was in the shower when King entered the home, and he allegedly took of his clothes and tried to get in with her. When she said she was going to call the police, he fled the bathroom — but not the home.

The teenage sister told CBS New York that she was watching the baby when her sister came running out of the shower.

“She runs into the room with only her towel on, and she’s on the phone with the police,” Mikah Diaz told the news outlet.

“She told me there’s a guy in the house. So we locked the door and then the police were outside. We were talking to them through the window. They told us to stay in the room and I think they caught the guy in the kitchen.”

According to CBS New York, the intruder told police he was a caretaker.

The responding officers reportedly found King in the kitchen washing dishes, and took him into custody without any trouble. The Hackensack Police Department touted the swift response on its Facebook page.

“Quickly caught and nobody hurt,” the Facebook post reads. “Great job!”

Diaz told CBS News the family is planning on installing security cameras in the home.
