VIDEO shows Ohio mom shoot up heroin in front of young son: Police

Surveillance footage in Ohio caught a disturbing scene in what looks like a mother shooting up heroin in an alley while her young son watches.

FOX reports that police said Lauren Story, 29, of Green Township, was the woman seen in the video injecting the drug into her arm with a needle with the help of an unknown man. A 4-year-old boy sat behind them and played with a phone.

Witness Jonathan Donaldson, of Grant Park Block Watch, said he started filming the incident and took the footage to police.

“I think the people [who live here] are solid people,” Donaldson told FOX. “The people that are the problem are the people that come down here and sell their dope and the people that come down here and buy their dope.”

Police arrested Story and found four syringes inside her purse. At her arraignment on Friday, prosecutor Dave Wood emphasized the harm the suspect caused to a child by doing drugs in front of him.

“People have sympathy for people who use heroin but that sympathy ends when you’re doing it in front of your children.”

A judge ordered the child placed in care of a relative and told Story she cannot be around her son unless caseworkers approve it first. She faces charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and drug abuse instruments and child endangering. The judge set her bond at $22,000.

SHOCKING: Police said this mom shot up in front of her 4-year-old son on an Over-The-Rhine sidewalk yesterday. A neighborhood watch member caught it on his surveillance camera and called police. bit.ly/2vxgmHV
