BOLO: Federal inmate breaks out of jail via gym ventilation system

On Monday, a federal inmate at an Oklahoma jail escaped through the facility’s gymnasium ventilation system, police confirm.

Tulsa World reports that Anthony Victory Sr., 38, escaped from the Choctaw County jail at around 9:40 p.m. on Monday night. According to Choctaw County Sheriff Terry Park, Victory was being held at the jail while awaiting a hearing at the  hearing in U.S. District Court in Muskogee.

Court documents indicate that Victory pleaded guilty to charges of possession of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm, and ammunition. He also has felony convictions from 2005 that include eluding a police officer, false impersonation, possessing stolen property, and second-degree burglary. In 2012, he was convicted of escaping from confinement.

“Choctaw County Jail has an inmate that escaped out jail at 2120 hours,” Choctaw County Sheriff Terry Park announced on Facebook. “Inmate Aaron Victory Sr. is on the run. Inmate Victory is a federal inmate we were holding for a preliminary hearing coming up.”

Victory is a 6-foot-1 American Indian with brown eyes and brown hair. He weighs around 195 pounds. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to call 911 immediately.
