Married police officers arrested for abusing adopted children

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) arrested two police officers after they allegedly abused their adopted children.

Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Tracy Jones, 47, a Jacksonville, Fla. police officer and Rosemary Jones, 36, a Poulan, Ga. police officer, were arrested in Sylvester, Ga. on Tuesday, on child cruelty-related charges. Both suspects are facing two felony cruelty to children charges, while Rosemary Jones is facing additional charges of aggravated assault and false imprisonment.

According to a statement from the GBI, officers were asked to investigate the couple after complaints that they were mistreating their adopted children. The details surrounding the abuse are still unclear. The Jones’ have up to seven children photographed on their Facebook pages.
