VIDEO: Would-be carjacker gets dragged out of his shorts on busy street

A would-be carjacker in Washington was dragged down the street — and out of his shorts — last week and witnesses caught it on video.

KIRO 7 reports that a suspect in multiple carjacking attempts was filmed being dragged by a moving car in Kent, Washington, near East Hill Elementary school.

A witness to the incident recorded video and posted it on social media.

WARNING: VIDEO CONTAINS PARTIAL NUDITY

In the video, the man is seen holding on to the driver’s side door of a small SUV as the car continues to drive on a busy street, dragging the suspect with him. At one point the driver of the SUV stops and the man stands up and tries to open the car door as his shorts are around his knees.

The driver of the SUV takes off again and the man continues to hold on to the door handle as he is dragged down the street barelegged.

The unidentified man was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for his injuries. Kent police told KIRO 7 that he was arrested on multiple charges.

Law enforcement also said that the suspect had punched and tried to open doors on other cars before his eventful attempt at stealing the SUV. Multiple people reportedly suffered minor injuries in the carjacking attempts.

Kent police reportedly posted a Twitter message that read: “PSA: don’t try and car jack people, if you do, let go if they drive off.” The tweet appears to have been deleted.
