BREAKING: At least one dead, three injured as student gunman opens fire at Spokane high school

One student has died in a shooting at Freeman High School near Spokane, Washington.

CNN reports that the mass shooting also injured three other juveniles, presumably students.

The suspect is reportedly a student at the school, and has been taken into custody.

“The shooter is in the back seat of a patrol car right now,” Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich told the Seattle Times.

Neither the suspect or the victims have yet been identified.

Washington Governor Jay Inslee addressed the tragedy in a media statement.

“As Spokane County officials continue their investigation to get the answers to the questions so many of us have during these unthinkable tragedies, the Washington State Patrol and all state agencies will do whatever we can to help provide support and comfort in the days and weeks to come.”

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
