Florida police arrested a woman Wednesday for allegedly trying to run over her daughter’s ex-husband with her Mercedes-Benz after her affair with the man was exposed.
Palm Beach Gardens Police found Kathleen Regina Davis, 58, driving in circles in the man’s yard, trying to run him over, the New York Post reports.
While the police report obtained by the New York Post says that the man, 33, is the ex-boyfriend of the suspect’s daughter, the Palm Beach Post reports that court documents show the couple was married and are currently divorcing.
According to the police report, Davis drove to the ex-boyfriend’s house and threw eggs at his and house after he exposed their relationship.
The unidentified man, 33, told police Davis nearly hit him with her car several times during the incident, and he also told police that he was no longer in a relationship with the suspect’s daughter.
Davis reportedly told police that she had an affair with the man while he was with her daughter and said she was angry because he had ruined her relationship with her daughter by telling her about the affair.
Davis also told police that she wanted the man to die while she was trying to run him over.
The suspect, 58, now faces a felony charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill. Davis posted a $3,000 bail on Friday and was released from the Palm Beach County Jail.
