A Quincy, Massachusetts, high schooler is under investigation after reportedly threatening a Las Vegas-style attack over social media.
WFTX reported that a Quincy High School student posted the image to Snapchat with the caption, “You ******* better learn to walk in the halls or Quincy high is gonna turn into Las Vegas, except no one will escape.”
Quincy Police said they were notified of the disturbing post at around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday after it was distributed on multiple social media platforms. On Wednesday, Captain John Dougan said there is no immediate threat to the high school as they investigate the incident, according to The Patriot Ledger.
“A student may post something that may be alarming in any way or that may cause our students to have some anxiety or concern and we deal with it appropriately,” Superintendent Richard DeChristofaro said, adding that parents were notified of the situation Wednesday morning.

The superintendent declined to disclose whether the student’s been disciplined or suspended in light of the disturbing post.
“We don’t talk about these things with the media. If parents do call we can try to answer their questions as best as we can,” he continued.
However, police revealed to WFTX that charges haven’t been filed against the unidentified 16-year-old but are likely forthcoming. They also said the juvenile had no access to guns.
“We know our students are safe and we’ll continue on with school life,” DeChristofaro concluded.
