Tori Spelling’s husband may go to jail for allegedly missing child support

Tori Spelling’s husband may be facing jail time as his ex-wife takes him back to court for multiple missed child supports payments for their teenage son, Jack, according to court documents.

Dean McDermott, 50, appeared in court in March of this year for owing child support, but instead of getting locked up, his ex-wife, Mary Jo Eustace, 55, agreed to let him make installments of $1,500 a month.

Now, Eustace is taking McDermott back to court after he missed several of those payments.

Page Six reports that a disclosed source said it doesn’t make sense why he would go to jail over an amount of money he could make in a month.

“It’s crazy that all this is over $1,500. He could get a job at the Gap and pay that off every month.”

Another source said that Eustace had been warned that the upcoming payment would be late, and that it was due to McDermott having to pay his son’s rent and college-related expenses.

“It’s not like it came out of left field. It was late because Dean was paying their son Jack’s first-month rent, security deposit and several other college expenses, which Mary Jo would not contribute to.”

In court documents filed on October 10, Eustace wrote that her ex has been missing child support payments, yet can afford to take his family of seven on luxurious vacations, US Weekly reports.

“Dean has stopped paying again. In the last six weeks he has been on two luxurious vacations, Iceland & the four seasons in Punta Mita. He resides in a $2 million estate paid by his mother-in-law, Candy Spelling, and has no impetus to work. He owes over $100,000 moving forward, and I believe he has no intention of paying.”

She also claimed that McDermott “bounces my son’s university rent/tuition and is delinquent in paying therapist bills, while he shops visibly and throws lavish parties for his other five children.”
