Authorities in Adams County, Colorado, confirmed they captured a man accused of opening fire inside a Walmart on Wednesday, taking the lives of three people. A SWAT team found the suspect, 47-year-old Scott Ostrem, a little before 8 a.m. on Thursday, in a 2017 red Mitsubishi Mirage. Police took him into custody without incident.

A gunman opened fire at a Colorado Walmart Wednesday night, killing three people.
The Denver Post reports that two men and one woman were killed when a suspect shot them at a Walmart in Thornton at about 6:30 p.m. Although police have said it is no longer an active shooter situation, the gunman is still at large.

The suspect reportedly began shooting a handgun just after he entered the store, striking the victims near the south entrance. According to the newspaper, he said nothing before fleeing the scene in a red Mitsubishi Mirage.
Police do not have leads on his identity at this time, but they do have security camera footage of the suspect. He was reportedly wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, and a maroon shirt.
