California police arrested a teenager who allegedly admitted to molesting and sexually violating at least 50 children, as reported by WKRG.
Joseph Hayden Boston, 18, was brought to the Riverside police station on Saturday by his own mother, who turned him in for his alleged child sexual abuse. Boston’s mother told authorities she caught her son molesting two boys, ages 8 and 4.
During an interview with investigators, Boston allegedly admitted to dozens of similar incidents, over 50 in all, according to Los Angeles Times. These assaults had been occurring since he was 10, in a string of different cities, according to police.
Authorities released a statement on Boston’s alleged crimes in which they note that he was officially charged with oral copulation on a child under the age of 10.
“Detectives from the Sexual Assault & Child Abuse Unit responded to assist in this investigation. They later arrested Joseph Hayden Boston, 18-years-old of Lakewood, on counts of oral copulation on a child under the age of 10. He was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center with bail set at 1 million dollars. The County of Riverside Child Protective Services responded and took custody of both victim children.”
It is unclear how Boston was given access to the two children or how police might contact other potential victims. He is being jailed on a $1 million bail.
This is an ongoing case. Anyone with information about the suspect or other possible victims is asked to call Detective Paul Miranda at 951-353-7945.
