‘Good thing it’s the cops’: Man caught in child sex sting said he planned to ‘kill that girl’

A Florida man is in jail after police say he attempted to meet a young girl for sex and planned to kill both her and her mother.

According to WESH, Daytona Beach police began investigating 29-year-old Vance Taylor after a message he posted online described his desire to “impregnate your daughter or sister or wife.”

An undercover officer reportedly began communicating with him, posing as a mother who promised to provide her two teenage daughters for sex.

Taylor arrived at a predetermined location in Daytona Beach where he expected to meet the woman and girls. When he realized authorities were meeting him instead, he allegedly revealed just how dangerous the situation could have become.

“Good thing it’s the cops, I was going to kill that girl,” he said, according to police.

When he was arrested, police reportedly found a large folding knife in his possession.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, investigators say Taylor admitted he planned to kill the fictitious mother, explaining he wanted to take out his “life frustrations” on her.

The online conversations leading up to the meeting involved explicit exchanges with the officer he believed to be the would-be victims’ mother, according to reports.

Taylor allegedly described the sexual acts he wanted to perform with the young girls and digitally sent multiple nude images of himself.

Though he reportedly had no prior criminal history, he was arrested and ordered to be held without bond after a judge labeled him a “community danger.”
