Man steals swan boat after taking Molly.

‘Swans don’t judge’: Screaming man allegedly steals swan boat and strands himself on fountain after taking Molly

Police say an Orlando man stranded himself on a fountain in the middle of a lake early Friday morning, after taking “a large quantity of Molly” and stealing a swan boat.

Keith Thurston, 36, was found screaming on the fountain in the middle of Lake Eola just before 4 a.m. Friday morning. He told police that he ingested a large amount of the drug MDMA – known as Molly –  stole one of the swan-shaped boats at the lake, paddled up to the fountain, and got out to walk around. When he did so, he forgot to secure the boat and it floated away, KSAT reports.

Thurston was rescued from the fountain by the Orlando Fire Department and taken in for treatment at Florida South Hospital.

He told police that he just “wanted to go be with the swans because they don’t judge him.” Police asked if he was trying to hurt himself and he said no. He was wearing a life preserver he had found in the swan boat when police arrived.

There are now charges pending against Thurston, according to a report by Buzzfeed.
