BREAKING: One officer dead, more wounded in shooting outside Denver

One police officer was killed in a shooting in Douglas County, Colorado, Sunday morning. Four other police officers and two civilians were wounded in what began as a domestic disturbance in a suburb outside Colorado.

Fox 31 reports that the Douglas County Sheriff has confirmed one deputy was killed in the active shooter incident, and four other deputies are being treated for injuries. Six people are now hospitalized as a result of the shooting.

The suspected gunman has been shot and is presumed dead, law enforcement officials told the news station.

The Douglas County Sheriff has not yet released the identity of the fallen officer or those who were wounded.

The identity of the suspect is not known at this time.
