Three men stage violent home invasion, including brutal sexual assault, before driving off in victim’s car: Cops

Three men are facing charges related to a recent home invasion in Kearny, New Jersey. Two of the suspects are also accused of sexually assaulting a victim inside the residence.

According to NJ.com, the men allegedly entered the woman’s home and demanded money from her before the sexual assault. Police say they left with her car.

The victim’s name has not been released and the address of the crime has been withheld to protect her identity.

As WCBS reported, the incident occurred on the morning of Dec. 22. The three suspects were arrested a week later.

Two of the men arrested — 21-year-old David Gualteros and 24-year-old Evin Ferman-Argueta — face charges of aggravated sexual assault, kidnapping, robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, theft by unlawful taking, terroristic threats and endangering the welfare of a child.

As of the latest reports available, 21-year-old Erick Leon-Farinango faced a shorter list, including conspiracy charges, though authorities said additional counts were expected to be added.

The case is now being investigated by the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office special victim’s unit.

Anyone with information relevant to the crime is asked to contact that division by calling 201-915-1234 or leave an anonymous tip online.

Several local law enforcement agencies, including officers from Kearny, Newark, Belleville and Hillsborough, joined in the investigation the led to the three arrests, according to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents also participated in apprehending the suspects.
