‘Teen Mom’ star was running a ‘fully functional meth lab’ in apartment: Police

A one-time regular on the MTV series Teen Mom has been arrested on suspicion of operating a meth lab in the basement of his Pittsburgh apartment.

CBS Pittsburgh reports that police raided the Vine Street apartment building where Keiffer Delp was suspected of running a meth lab on Wednesday night, after reports of possible illegal activity there.

Inside, investigators found strong evidence that the basement apartment had been used to cook meth.

“We conducted a search warrant on that apartment and we found items, chemicals, items that were used to substantiate that we were correct in what was going on in there,” McKees Rocks Police Chief Richard Deliman told reporters.

Police reportedly described what they found as a fully functioning meth lab.

Delp has reportedly appeared in multiple seasons of Teen Mom as the former boyfriend of a Jenelle Eason, a member of the original cast who has had legal problems of her own.

Neighbors near the Vine Street apartment told CBS Pittsburgh that the unit has been problematic for years.

According to TMZ, Delp has previously been arrested for assaulting a woman and her male friend. Eason was with him at the time of the alleged assault. Due to her relationship with him, Eason was also reportedly cited for violating a condition of her probation that prohibited her from” knowingly associating with any person or previously convicted users, possessors, or sellers of any illegal drugs.”

Delp is reportedly now in custody at the Allegheny County Jail.
