‘Glee’ star Mark Salling found dead of apparent suicide at Little League field: Report

The former Glee star who recently pleaded guilty to child pornography was found dead of an apparent suicide.

TMZ reports that Mark Salling’s body was discovered in the Sunland neighborhood of San Bernardino County, California, where the actor lived. The details are not confirmed yet but the TMZ report indicates that Salling hanged himself at a Little League field near a creek or a Riverbed.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the coroner has not confirmed the cause of death pending notification of next of kin.

Salling played Noah “Puck” Puckerman on the hit musical series, and was a leading character on the show for the entirety of its run.

In October, Salling, 35, pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography and was reportedly scheduled to be sentenced in March. He was reportedly facing four to seven years in prison and would have had to register as a sex offender.

Authorities found nearly 50,000 images of child pornography on Salling’s computer and an external drive, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
