Five people were injured in a Los Angeles middle school on Thurs. morning, reportedly by another student.
Los Angeles Times reports that a female middle school student is in custody after she allegedly pulled out a gun and opened fire at Sal Castro Middle School.

Sgt. Edward Bernal told CNN that authorities have the situation under control and the child was detained without incident. The gunshot injured two 15-year-old boy and girl, both now at a local hospital.
The boy is listed in critical condition, while the girl is listed in fair condition, according to the Los Angeles Police Dept. Three other people were injured, including a 30-year-old woman and two children, ages 11 and 12.
KTLA reports that the boy victim was shot in the head. The female victim was shot in the wrist. Authorities recovered the gun at the scene.
