‘Date from Hell’: Man arranges date online, wakes up to intruders with weapons inside his home

An Alabama man who arranged a dat with a woman he met online says he was greeted by four people intent on robbing him Mon. morning, including the woman he met on a dating app.

AL.com reports that deputies arrived to a  Limestone County home off of Piney Chapel Road at around 6 a.m. on Mon. after the homeowner reported a robbery. According to the victim, several strangers were in the process of robbing him when he woke up, one armed with a tire iron. He said the armed suspect threatened to hit him with the weapon.

One of the intruders, 29-year-old Rikki Perry (pictured right), was the woman the victim reportedly met online. They arranged a date for the previous night but the man said she never showed up. Along with Perry, authorities arrested Bobby Peck Jr., 26 (pictured middle), and Elizabeth Case, 34 (pictured left).  Authorities detained the suspects off of the 24000 block of Elkton Road.

It’s still unclear what the suspects allegedly took victim, but authorities reported that they recovered stolen items, according to 48 WAFF.

All three suspects were charged with first-degree robbery. They face the possibility of life in prison if found guilty.

The investigation is still ongoing. Authorities indicated that the victim said another unknown female was involved; more arrests are possible. Check back with CrimeOnline as additional details become available.
