Two juvenile teens were reportedly found dead in what is being investigated by Indiana authorities as a suspected murder-suicide.
According to WXIN, the bodies of 13-year-old Alainee Byer of Jonesboro and 17-year-old Corbin Page of Gas City were discovered in a Marion residence where they were pronounced dead early Sunday morning.
A handgun was also reportedly found at the scene.
Police reports indicate Byer’s father learned of an emergency involving the two teens at the location and left work to check on them.
When he arrived, he reportedly found their unresponsive bodies and immediately called for emergency crews to respond.
The Mississinewa Community School Corporation confirmed counselors will be available for students at RJ Baskett Middle School and Mississinewa High School, attended by Byer and Page, respectively.

“Our hearts and prayers go out to these families with this incredible and very sad loss of life, and for our students and staff who will be struggling to understand and grieve over this tragic event!” the district said.
An early statement by police indicates the deaths were likely caused by a murder-suicide motivated by the end of a romantic relationship.
Pathologists at the Northeast Indiana Forensic Center in Fort Wayne are expected to announce a cause of death following an autopsy set for Monday.
Marion police say their investigation into the deaths remains open, as reported by WRTV.
Authorities had not provided any additional details as of this writing but are expected to do so as the case moves forward.
CrimeOnline will provide updates as they become available.
