Johnson and her live-in boyfriend, Tyree La’Mont Williams, her brought 18-month-old daughter Kylah Woodard to a hospital on January 30, according to KHBS. Medical staff attempted to resuscitate the baby, but police reportedly determined that the baby had been dead on arrival.
Investigators were called in because the little girl had bruises on her body. When police questioned Williams, he reportedly admitted that he had punched the girl in the stomach. Williams was arrested on an unrelated outstanding warrant and subsequently charged with killing the little girl.
Arkansas Online reports that Williams has pleaded not guilty. Both suspects are being held at Sebastian County Jail.
