The death toll is rising in a mass shooting at a high school in Parkland, Florida, on Wednesday.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, one person had earlier been confirmed dead in a shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
The Sun Sentinel reports that the number of fatalities is expected to rise: Coral Springs Mayor Skip Campbell confirmed to the newspaper that there were “multiple fatalities.” Coral Springs reportedly contracts the fire department who responded to the shooting.
Fox 10 News confirmed in a recent report that a teacher had been shot but it is not known if they were killed.
The Broward County Sheriff’s office said in a tweet that at least 14 people have been injured.
So far we have at least 14 victims. Victims have been and continue to be transported to Broward Health Medical Center and Broward Health North hospital. #StonemanShooting

The suspected shooter has been apprehended but authorities have not yet identified him.
