Friday Crime Stories: Do you believe offenders convicted of aggravated rape should serve 100% of their sentence?

Today on Crime Stories, we share the story of Kimberlee Morton. Kimberlee was brutally beaten and sexually assaulted in 1998 by her neighbor. Her attacker received 15 years for aggravated rape, but only served 85% of his sentence and was released for good behavior.

Kimberlee has been working to pass new legislation, called Kimberlee’s Law, to ensure anyone convicted of aggravated rape serves 100% of their sentence.

We support Kimberlee and are working to spread awareness of her efforts to help other victims of violent crime by sharing her story and critical information on her efforts.
