Authorities reported a shooting at Great Mills High School in Great Mills, Maryland, on Tuesday morning and although the situation is now contained, several students were reportedly injured.
NBC 4 reports that that school administrators wrote that authorities are on the campus while the school remains on lockdown after someone opened fire early Tuesday morning. The outlet stated multiple injuries have been confirmed, but still no word on who the alleged shooter is.
Great Mills is located around 60 miles southeast of Washington, D.C., in St. Mary’s County.

Parents are asked to NOT report to Great Mills High School for pickup information, but instead to the auditorium at the nearby Leonardtown High School at 23995 Point Lookout Road in Leanardtown.
