Suspect facing multiple charges takes out her frustration in mugshot pose

Authorities in Ohio arrested a woman recently on suspicion of several criminal acts, but it was her reaction to having her mugshot taken that has propelled the arrest to nationwide news.

As Fox News reported, Piqua resident Amber Legge is accused of threatening to burn down a neighbor’s home as part of a dispute over money she claimed to be owed.

Legge and the unnamed woman were reportedly engaged in an argument in the Huber Heights community this week, according to the Dayton Daily News.

A Huber Heights police report indicates the suspect threatened physical violence against the woman prior to fleeing the scene.

Authorities cited the victim’s assertion that Legge taunted her, “threatened to beat her, burn her house down, and contact Children’s Services.”

Officials say they spoke to another witness who corroborated claims that the suspect threatened to torch the victim’s home.

A short time later, police stopped her vehicle on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

She was arrested and booked into jail early Friday morning.

In posing for her mugshot, she chose to stick her tongue out for a look Fox News described as evidence that she showed “no remorse” for her alleged crimes.

Numerous Twitter users mocked her display, including one who called it “great evidence” for the sentencing phase of the trial should she be convicted.

According to the New York Post, Legge faces charges in addition to operating a vehicle under the influence, including one count aggravated menacing.

As of the latest reports available, she remained in Montgomery County jail with bond set at $5,000.
