Parkland school shooter’s brother Zachary Cruz arrested again

The younger brother of Parkland school shooting suspect Zachary Cruz has been arrested again, the second time in six weeks.

The Sun Sentinel reports that Zachary, 18, was arrested on Tuesday for violating the terms of his probation. The younger brother of Nikolas Cruz had previously been arrested in March for trespassing on the campus of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, where Nikolas opened fire on February 14, killing 17 people.

After his March 19 arrest, Zachary Cruz reportedly told police that he had visited the high school, which he had previously attended, three times since the deadly massacre. He pleaded no-contest to trespassing on March 29, and was placed on six months probation. Among the conditions of his probation, he was ordered to stay away from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High school and any school where he wasn’t enrolled.

But less than a month later, Cruz has allegedly violated his probation by coming within 25 feet of a school parking lot at Park Vista Community High School in Lake Worth, Florida, about 30 miles north of Parkland. He was also caught driving without a valid license.

Zachary Cruz was reportedly booked into Palm Beach County jail on Tuesday evening. It is not known if he has secured legal representation.
