Eight people have reportedly died after a shooter opened fire at a high school in Santa Fe, Texas, Friday morning.
A KHOU reporter based in Texas tweeted the sources with knowledge of the situation have reported on a shocking death toll. Law enforcement sources had previously confirmed to CNN that multiple people had died in the gun massacre at Santa Fe high school.

A police officer is reportedly among the injured in the shooting.
There are reports the gunman at Santa Fe High School threw pipe bombs into the classroom and opened fire. 8 people are dead. One shooter in custody. Another detained. @SheriffEd_HCSO says an officer has been injured.

According to CNN affiliate KRTK, the shooter walked into an art classroom just after 7:30 a.m. Friday.
The suspect is in custody a second person of interest has reportedly been detained.
