MISSING: Teen girl possibly with sex offender after vanishing from apartment building, police say

Police in Washington are asking for the public’s help in locating a 15-year-old girl who was last seen weeks earlier at an apartment in Federal Way.

The Bonney Lake Police Department said Lileana “Lily” Christopherson left her parents’ Bonney Lake home on May 9 and took a bus to Federal Way. Police said the teen was last seen at an apartment on 327th Lane in the same city.

Reports indicated that Christopherson frequented the Commons at Federal Way and a nearby transit center.

Bonney Lake police initially tweeted that Christopherson could be with Alex Thueringer, 18, who has ties to Snohomish County and was recently kicked out of his Bonney Lake home by family. However, police later announced that they had spoken with Thueringer and he had no information about the girl’s whereabouts.

Authorities now fear the at-risk teen might be in the company of Christopher R. Fitzpatrick, 39, a registered sex offender reportedly known to visit the same areas. Additional information about how the pair could be connected is unavailable at this time.

Records obtained by The News Tribune stated that Fitzpatrick pleaded guilty in 2003 to threatening his wife and repeatedly raping her. Police who arrested Fitzpatrick at a Fife hotel found him having sex with a 16-year-old girl who was tied to the bed, the newspaper reported.

Fitzpatrick also has two prior convictions for failing to register as a sex offender. Records from the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department revealed that he’s wanted for failing to register his address with authorities.

Police said Christopherson is 5’2″, 120 lbs, and has long brown hair, hazel eyes, and a small scar near her left eye.

This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information regarding 15-year-old Lileana Christopherson’s whereabouts is urged to call 911 and can reference case number 1812901486.
