Kate Spade told daughter to ‘Ask Daddy’ in suicide note: Report

Kate Spade reportedly left a suicide note telling her 13-year-old daughter not to blame herself for her mother’s shocking death.

According law enforcement sources who reportedly spoke to TMZ, the iconic handbag designer left a note on her bed for her daughter Francis Beatrix Spade.

“Bea – I have always loved you,” the note reportedly read. “This is not your fault. Ask Daddy!”

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Spade was found tied to a door with a scarf Tuesday morning by a member of her housekeeping staff. Her husband and business partner Andy Spade was reportedly on the scene when paramedics arrived, though it is not known at this time if he was at the Park Avenue home when the apparent suicide took place.

“It was over family problems … in her relationship,” a police source told The New York Post.
