URGENT: Teen girl kidnapped, screaming from her home may be on way to Mexico against her will

A 17-year-old girl is missing after she is believed to have been kidnapped from her Phoenix home — and she may be on her way to Mexico.

The New York Post reports that Rosa America Garcia-Acosta, 17, has been missing since Friday. She hasn’t been seen or heard from since her brother reportedly heard her screaming, and then saw a grayish white SUV pull away from the home. The girl is believed to have been inside the car.

Police reportedly told the Arizona Republic that Luis Fernando Morales, 24, is suspected of kidnapping Rosa. They said that the suspect has a “history of controlling behavior” towards the missing girl, but did not provide further details about their relationship.

Law enforcement officials suspect that Morales may be taking the girl to Mexico against her will.

Garcia-Acosta has brown eyes and brown hair.  She is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 130 pounds. It is not known what she was wearing when she was last seen.

Morales is reportedly 6 feet 4 inches tall, and weighs about 265 pounds. According to police, the suspect was last seen wearing a white polo shirt, black jeans and black shoes.

Police are actively seeking the public’s help in locating Garcia-Acosta. Anyone with information about the teen’s whereabouts is urged to call Phoenix police at (602) 534-2121.
