Soldier’s wife found dead on military base while husband is overseas; reward offered for information

The young wife of a soldier deployed to Afghanistan was found dead in her home in a Georgia military base earlier this month, and authorities are offering a reward for information about the apparent homicide.

The Associated Press reports that Abree Boykin, 24, was found dead in her home at Fort Stewart military base, outside of Savannah. Authorities have not released the precise cause of death, but it is being investigated as homicide.

Boykin’s car, a 2018 black Honda Accord, was missing from her home when she was discovered dead. Police are searching for the car, and Army Criminal Investigation Command (CID) spokesman Chris Grey told the Associated Press that investigators believe Boykin may have known her killer.

The Army CID and the FBI are offering a $20,000 reward for information leading information that helps solve the murder. Anyone with information can call 1-844-ARMY-CID (844-276-9243).
