Police hunt for ‘Blade Runner’ actress Sean Young after $12,000 burglary in NYC

“Blade Runner” actress Sean Young is wanted by NYPD for questioning about a burglary that occurred in Queens, New York, on Thursday, TMZ reports.

According to the media outlet, police sources said the 58-year-old actress may be a suspect in a break-in at a commercial Astoria business she is thought to have worked for in the past.

The sources said employees from the business identified Young and a male accomplice through video surveillance that caught them breaking in and subsequently stealing laptops and video production software from the unidentified establishment. It is reported that Young previously worked there, but was fired about five months ago.

The New York Daily News reached out to NYPD, who would not confirm if Young is a person of interest in the case, but said about $12,000 in computer gear was stolen.

Young, who played Rachel in 1982’s “Blade Runner,” was famously involved in a mysterious lawsuit with actor James Woods, who claimed that she sent a pictures of mutilated bodies and corpses to himself and his girlfriend after they the actors co-starred in a film together, according to New York Daily News. There were rumors at the time that the two had been romantically involved, but neither have explicitly admitted to an affair.

Young was arrested and Woods filed a $2 million harassment lawsuit against her, citing “intentional infliction of emotional distress.” Young denied the allegations in a 2007 interview with Entertainment Weekly, and the case was settled out of court, with Young awarded over $200,000 to cover her legal fees.

TMZ reached out to the actress and her rep regarding the burglary allegations, but didn’t hear back as of Friday morning.
