Real Housewife Bethenny Frankel said she refused to have contact with ex-boyfriend Dennis Shields two days before his death

Bethenny Frankel spoke of her tumultuous relationship with boyfriend Dennis Shields in an episode of Real Housewives of New York just two days before Shields was found dead of an apparent overdose in his Trump Tower apartment.

Filming a scene from inside her new luxury apartment, Frankel told housewife Dorinda Medley that although she loved Shields, she didn’t think he was right for her, a friend told the New York Post.

“She [basically] said, ‘I love him, but I could never marry him,” that friend reportedly said.

Frankel also reportedly told her fellow reality star that she was planning on going no-contact with Shields for 90 days.

“And I didn’t say it to Dennis, but in my own mind, I said, ‘Ninety days. I’m not saying a word to Dennis for ninety days,'” Frankel said, according to the report.

“It’s a really hard thing to realize, that someone you love, is just — doesn’t mean they’re the right person.”

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Shields is believed to have asked his assistant for Narcan, which can reverse the effects of an overdose, at about 9 a.m. Friday morning. But Shields, 51, reportedly lost consciousness before the Narcan kicked in and could not be revived.

Shields was spotted out and about in Manhattan on Tuesday night, reportedly looking well.

“He looked so happy and healthy and vibrant on Tuesday,” a diner at the restaurant Kyma, who saw Shields there, told the New York Post.
