Heather Locklear legal troubles: ‘Melrose Place’ star formally charged after alleged June attack on paramedic, cop: DA

Heather Locklear is facing new legal troubles stemming from her June 24 arrest, when officials say she became combative towards emergency personnel responding to a disturbance at her California home.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, the saga unfolded after a family member contacted authorities when the troubled actress allegedly became irrational and irritable after drinking alcohol.

According to the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office, 56-year-old Locklear was charged Thursday with battery on a peace officer, battery on an emergency medical technician and resisting, and “obstructing or delaying a police officer” in connection with the incident.

The district attorney’s press release stated Locklear’s attorney appeared yesterday “on her behalf in the Ventura County Superior court for arraignment on the amended complaint and pretrial conference.”

While not appearing in court herself, she entered a plea of not guilty to the three aforementioned charges through her attorney.

This isn’t Locklear’s only recent run-in with the law. In February, the former “Melrose Place” star was arrested for domestic violence and battery after allegedly attacking her boyfriend, and then “kicking” and “pushing” police officers responding to the 911 call at her Thousand Oaks residence, the Associated Press reported.

She was subsequently charged and pleaded not guilty to one felony count of domestic violence and three misdemeanor counts of “battery on emergency personnel.”

The Ventura County District Attorney’s Office said Thursday’s charges are in addition to the five charges Locklear is already facing for the February incident.

She is due back in court September 27 for a pretrial conference.
