Arkansas Crime Stoppers are offering a $20,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of a man who shot into car, killing a three-year-old boy. The shooting happened on Saturday while a grandmother was on a shopping trip with her two grandchildren, in Little Rock.
FOX News reports that the suspect was following the grandmother as she drove away from a shopping trip with her two grandchildren, ages 3 and 1. When she pulled up to stop light, the suspect pulled adjacent to her, got of his car, and fired shots into her vehicle. The grandmother and her one-year-old grandchild were uninjured, but the 3-year-old sustained fatal injuries.

According to Police Lt. Steve McClanahan, it appears that the suspect didn’t know the victims, and the incident is being treated as road rage. McClanahan also said that the victims “were completely innocent” in the incident. Although no physical description has been given of the suspect, he was last seen driving a black, older Chevrolet Impala.
In November, a similar situation occurred in Little Rock when a wanted suspect drove by a car in traffic and opened fire, killing a 2-year-old little girl. Police Chief Kenton Buckner said he wasn’t sure if the two shootings were related, but he emphasized the need to protect children, who are unable to protect themselves, given their young age.
“We cannot have a community to where the least protected among us, being infants, who are dying (in) these senseless crimes in our city.”
Anyone with any information regarding either shooting should call Crime Stoppers at 770-371-4636 or 501-340-8477.
