Brave New York City girl fights thief gunning for her chicken McNuggets

“If you can afford a gun, you can afford a chicken McNugget”

Kim Kardashian submitted to armed robbers who wanted million in jewels — as most any of us would for much less — but a 13-year-old New York City girl refused to be intimidated by a classmate who put a gun to her head demanding a chicken McNugget.

The girl, a student at Harlem Democracy Prep, had purchased a 10-pack of chicken McNuggets Tuesday evening at a McDonald’s on 103rd Street and Lexington Avenue, when a 12-year-old classmate asked her to share a piece with him. She declined, and the boy decided to up the stakes.

According to an account published in the New York Post, the boy then followed the girl into a nearby subway station and pulled a gun on her — pointing it at her head and demanding a nugget for the second time. Witness sources told the Post the girl simply slapped the pint-sized perp’s hand away, and told him to take a hike.

The boy reportedly got on the same subway car with the girl, who kept all of her McNuggets to herself come hell or high water, and did not bother her again. He did, however, reportedly show his weapon to another classmate in the same subway car.

The girl didn’t even bother to call 911 — the police were only notified of the alleged crime after she brought up the incident at school the next day.

The alleged gunman, who has not been identified because he is a minor, will head to Family Court to face robbery charges.

The Post interviewed Harlem Democracy Prep students for their take on the failed armed robbery attempt. One student said, “If you can afford a gun, you can afford a chicken McNugget.”
