NYC corrections employee worked as a prostitute

“I have a BEAUTIFUL face to match my Sexy Petite body.”

A New York City of Correction Department employee was arrested last Friday for her work as a prostitute.

Gelisha Smith, who earned $75,000 a year in her civilian job, offered sex to an undercover police officer for $120, according to The New York Daily News. Moments after she set the price, police entered the room she used at the Days Inn on 38th Street, Sunset Park, Brooklyn and arrested her.

Smith, calling herself Lisa, placed ads in dozen of sites. The Daily News reported that one such ad read:  “Hi Guy’s i’m LISA. This is a one of a kind experience! I have a BEAUTIFUL face to match my Sexy Petite body.”

Photos of a lingerie-clad woman in a series of provocative poses accompany the advertisements. A video showing a woman performing oral sex on a man is also featured, reported The News.

Smith was arraigned in Brooklyn Criminal court and released without bail, reported The News.

Smith was assigned to the Federal Narcotics Task Force. The New York Police Department, U.S. Marshals Service and the Drug Enforcement Administration are among the agencies that assign staffers to the Task Force that coordinates and shares information on narcotics-related cases, reported The News. Smith had access to a variety of confidential information.

Smith was hired in March. She will be terminated from her job, a Corrections Department spokesman said.

“We have zero tolerance for any illegal behavior on the part of staff,” spokesman Peter Thorne said. “This employee was immediately suspended and is being terminated.”
