Missing Virginia mom, baby in danger, police say

A 16-year-old girl and her 18-month-old baby are missing from Fairfax County, Virginia, and the baby may be danger. Police are asking for assistance from anyone who may know their whereabouts.

News4 reports Lizzy Rivera Colindres and her son, Aidan David Castillo Rivera, were last seen on January 14 at their Springfield home on on Rhoden Court. Fairfax County spokesperson, Tawny Wright, stated that mom and son possibly ran away from her boyfriend, Jose Ivan Castillo Rivas, 18, who may have gang affiliation.

“We’re learning that their may have been some issues of contention between the two. We believe he has some gang ties. I don’t know whether that plays into her particular risk for safety, but it obviously isn’t a good situation.”

Colindres was in such a rush to leave that she ran away with just her pajamas on. She stands 5-feet-6 inches tall with long, highlighted brown hair and brown eyes. She weighs around 125 pounds and wears glasses.
