For a regular person, it would seem an insurmountable sum, but Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice has already fulfilled her nearly half-million debt to from her 2014 fraud conviction.
TMZ reports that Giudice has paid $414,588 in restitution, less than three years after it was ordered by the court. Those endorsements must be paying well!
The Real Housewife has already served a 15-month sentence for government fraud, after she and her husband Joe Guidice pled guilty to multiple counts of fraud, including bankruptcy fraud and mail fraud, and avoiding $1 million in taxes. Her husband is currently serving a 41-month sentence, as the parents of four got permission from the court to serve their time separately for the sake of their children.
As an Italian citizen, Joe Giudice could face deportation once he completes his sentence. Page Six recently reported that Giudice has been focusing on his physical fitness while in custody at New Jersey’s Fort Dix prison, and recently got a job at the prison gym. He reportedly earns $100 a month at his job.
According to TMZ, Teresa has to complete about another year of supervised release before she is home free.
