Tiffany Helms missing after taking emergency phone call at work in Alabama

Police a searching for a Gadsden, Alabama, woman who went missing shortly after taking an emergency call at work on February 9.

WIAT reports that Tiffany Helms, 29, a mother of four, took the call at around 3 p.m. while working at Rapha House Christian Homes in Gadsden. She left work right after the call and no one has seen or heard from her since.

On February 13, Helms’ family reported her missing. Sgt. John Hallman of the Gadsen Police Department said the family is extremely concerned because it’s unlike Helms to simply disappear. Helms’ estranged husband, George Michael Smith, disappeared the same time she did.

Helms stands 5-feet 3- inches tall, and weighs around 240 pounds. She has platinum blonde hair and blue eyes. She has strawberry tattoos on her chest and numerous other tattoos on her body. She was last seen driving a white 2006 Chrysler 300.

According to Helms’ sister, Brittany Mewbourn, Helms’ estranged husband is unstable. She referred to him as a “very dangerous individual” who allegedly stalked Helms. She also said he was a convicted child sex offender and armed robber.

“Mr. Smith is a two time convicted child sex offender. He has also been convicted of armed robbery so he is a very dangerous individual. Tiffany has four little girls who needed their mama home.”
