WARNING PARENTS: Gerber issues voluntary recall on baby food for mislabeled allergen

Parents of children with egg allergies should not feed them Gerber Cheese Ravioli Gerber Pasta Pick-Ups, warns the company.

Gerber made a voluntary recall of all Cheese Ravioli Gerber Pasta Pick-Ups after it accidentally didn’t write on the ingredients label that the product contains egg. The company wrote on its site that the newly-update packaging clearly label eggs in its ingredients, but the oversight affected previous products.

“On updated packages, allergens are included in the ingredient list and are additionally called out in a voluntary ‘contains’ statement that appears immediately below the ingredient line.”

Any product with the UPC code 159070 does not list eggs on its ingredients. Gerber announced that anyone with any questions should the company’s toll-fee line at 1-800-510-7494.
